It would also subject you to being taxed under Canadian tax law, since most of your time would be spent on that side of the border (16 hours out of 24 equates to more than 182 days per year ... and no, it doesn't matter if you actually work 10 and travel 2 each way, you'll still be listed as single-shift employment, which means an 8 hour day).
