Buffalo Exchange..... How does it work? Anyone know?
I have a lot of jeans, shirts and shoes that I don't wear anymore. Some I've only wore once and are in great condition. I have a brand new pair of Vans and a brand new pair of Nike Dunks and a lot of other things. How much will they give me for my name brand things? Not $10 I hope.........

Answer 1 :
it depends on condition. you might get 10 dollars. and if its brand new, maybe you should sell it on like ebay or something.
Answer 2 :
They only take nice things or items that are in style or right for the season. Sadly, they give less than the item may be worth. Like I sold a pair of Seven for All Man Kind jeans that were probably over $100 for only like $15 or something. But if you have nothing else to do with them then that's something. Maybe for your brand new shoes try ebay first. However, they will give you a certain amount of cash back for what they take, but they will give you a choice of that or more money in store credit.
Answer 3 :
I don't like Buffalo Exhange. They buy your items for way way below fair market value. I mean, I know they have to make a profit but they're buying your items, even the good ones at a cheap value. Then they sell things at about the same price or barely lower. I can purchase comparative clothing for the same price or less in a store brand new

Work permit in Buffalo, MN?
I'm 13 and plan to get a job at Culver's when I'm 14. I need a work permit to work there. How do I get one? Thanks.

Answer 1 :
The city of Buffalo will have the work permit for you. But you have to wait until you turn 18. I got mine the same day. Check if mom has to come with you. And what ID you need to bring since you don't have a drivers license.

About What is your most amusing work experience that has led to your getting fired
What is your most amusing work experience that has led to your getting fired?
Of all my firings my favorite is this: I was working at a Buffalo Wild Wings, tending bar. A younger looking guy wandered in with his girlfriend and I ID'd him. He raised a stink after I had ascertained he was indeed 23 years old. I thanked him and was back to work. A few minutes later he started some foul cursing in my general direction so I politely said I would take no abuse and he would have to leave. I got him to the door and he demanded to see a manager. I quickly went to the office and apprised the manager of the situation. He agreed with my action but still had to speak with the guy. He wanted a refund and an apology. Without skipping a beat I said, "You can suck an apology out of my d*&k." My manager could barely contain his giggles as he walked the guy out and told me afterward, "You know I have to fire you now, right?" Can anyone beat that?

i used to work at a non-profit community center as a youth leader. I got fired because I told the CEO that the other youth were looking at porn, having sex, and bringing weapons to the youth space of the center. I also told him that the youth program coordinator invited all of the youth, even the underage ones, to his birthday party, and told them that it was ok to drink there. Everyone turned against me. apparently majority rules, and even the CEO wanted to keep those dirty little secrets. so i was not allowed back in the youth program.
Answer 2 :
LOL good story. This isn't about me, but about a former co-worker. We worked at a place where there was a form you had to fill out to request time off, or describe what sort of leave you were using if you were sick/played hooky. We had to pass this along to our supervisor for approval and then he would have to pass that along to the big kahunas for even more approval. It was just one of the many bureaucratic stunts that this company pulled on a regular basis. So, this guy gets into a huge screaming match with his supervisor. Lots of cursing, big tempers, no rational thinking. The supervisor ends the fight by walking out. The guy takes the form and fills it out like this: Name: Steve the carpenter Days of: ALL OF THEM Reason: I hate this f#@*&#$ job and all your s^@%. I QUIT! He leaves it on boss's desk and never came back again.
Answer 3 :
I have a friend who used to work at a dog biscuit factory. He got fired for laughing. His boss told him this was a serious business he needed to clean out his locker

I Applied To Be A Border Patrol Agent. Is IT mandatory to work along the southwest border?
I want to know where i will be stationed do we have a say in where we want to be stationed. I would like to work in the buffalo sector/bordering canada and NY. Is it possible to prefer this location or do i have to work in NM, AZ, TX, or anywhere else they tell me too.
Immigration - 4 Answers
People's Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
You will go wherever they choose to send you. NM is a nice place, the weather there is perfect.
Answer 2 :
All rookie agents work the SW border. No exceptions. A great source of information for applicants is http://honorfirst.com/
Answer 3 :
The Border Patrol is like the military. You won't necessarily be sent to the front lines just because you joined. And the Border Patrol doesn't just work at the Canadian and Mexican borders, either. They're also in the airports and seaports that handle international travel. They should let you request working in a certain location, but bear in mind that doesn't mean that's where you'll be sent.
Answer 4 :
Remember these words: "Needs of the Service." If your application is accepted you will be called and offered a position at a specific duty station, presumably on the southwest border, or wherever else they need agents at the time. If your choice fits their needs, you are in luck. Otherwise, start studying Spanish

If you want to work for the Canadian side you would need to get a job with CBSA, Canadian Border Services Agency. They don't conduct much in the way of roving patrols though. Then again, neither does the US border service.
Answer 2 :
Another uninformed answer Randy B. The US border patrol has a very large office just outside of Buffalo. They do lots and lots of roving patrols on land and on water. The RCMP is the relevant agency mandated with patrolling the border, not the CBSA. The CBSA is responsible for specific ports of entry and in Canada immigration enforcement

Does anyone commute across the Peace Bridge between Ft. Erie Ontario and Buffalo, NY for work?
I'm an American who will be moving to Ft. Erie and would like to commute across the Peace Bridge so I can live a decent place and work in the United States again. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Answer 1 :
Best thing for a commuter like you is to apply for a NEXUS pass. This will allow you to cross into Canada and the US in little or nor time. You will have to apply online, and if approved you will have to interview with Canadian Immigration who will either approve your application or issue you a card. With NEXUS one is granted entry into the US or Canada via a simple scan of your eyes' irises. Saves you time and you don't have to bring your passport at all

About Will the Terrell Owens experiment in Buffalo work
Will the Terrell Owens experiment in Buffalo work?
I mean, will it help the Bills finally get into the playoffs and T.O stay happy during the year? I think it will. Trent has soooo many options he can go to. He's got T.O, Lee Evans, James Hardy, Roscoe Parrish, and James Reed. Pretty solid recieving corps Trent has to throw too! Well, if he does become poison in the locker room, thats why they only signed him to one year just in case he continues what he has done to three other teams. "Im leaving America's team, to come to North America's team"
Football (American) - 21 Answers
People's Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
no the bills will still suck just like they always have...
Answer 2 :
It will work initially, but then TO will do what he's done to 3 other teams and cause an implosion in the locker room. The Bills will be sorry that they signed him...
Answer 3 :
I don't think so.Trouble goes were he goes.Ask 49 Er's, Eagles,Dallas.
Answer 4 :
Sure its only 1 year, whats the worst that could happen
Answer 5 :
When has the T.O. Experiment EVER worked.
Answer 6 :
no once Evans gets more catches in a game than him T.O is gonna flip right out out and trash him in the media and on the sidelines and ruin the team
Answer 7 :
i think he will. i personaly dont like him but i think after 30 out of 32 teams didnt want him it was a wake up call to him but i could be wrong
Answer 8 :
I think he's gonna be quiet both on the field and off it. Meaning his numbers are on the decline but he'll still be the best (number 2) option in football. 10-6 record playoff berth.
Answer 9 :
The only team T.O. might possibly help would be the Cowboys. Getting rid of him may be the best offseason decision they made. He has yet to fail at destroying team chemistry and I doubt the Bills will escape unscathed.
Answer 10 :
I sure hope so. Go Bills!
Answer 11 :
Different lab, same results. sorry. the BILLS, are still running in place.
Answer 12 :
Of course it will work. It is Terrel Owens we are talking about, even though the guy is in the top few for drops in the NFL, he usually tops the league in TD's. All the Bills really need is an offense, their defense is pretty solid and their special teams are nice. Adding T.O. is good move for a young QB, and the smartest thing about it is that it is only for a year. The Bills are utter geniuses, they know not to put down a multi-year contract and get their team and franchise torn apart by his locker room poison, but instead sign him to one year so he can explode the offense and create mismatches for either him or Lee Evans to burn people. He was always happy his first year, it is just after that initial year he would break down, so the Bills get their offensive spark and don't have to deal with long term consequences. Great deal and great management so far.
Answer 13 :
bills will be a better team with T.O. cause tT.O. is agood player
Answer 14 :
TO has issues...I don't think he will ever "work"
Answer 15 :
Screw TO He's all about himself. I hope his mouth freezes up in Buffalo.
Answer 16 :
T.O. is one of the best wide outs to play the game. He has never acted up in his first year on any team he has played with. I CHALLENGE ANYONE TO CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG. Buffalo is a team that everyone loves to love or loves to hate. Even though I am no fan of Owens, if he helps Buffalo get to the playoffs Football in general will be better. Owens will have a good season. I'm going for him in my fantasy pool this year. Owens will not be on my fantasy football team if he gets to play in 2010 in Buffalo. He will become restless and he will become a problem. December 7th this year Owens will become 36. Two years? 37. Retirement - becomes loud broadcaster until Berman gets fed up with him and the networks shame him.
Answer 17 :
T.O. is a fantastic Receiver however when you convince yourself everything is everybody else is at fault and not you then fantastic becomes an average athlete. Why would you think this is going to change Buffalo. Sorry he will have to MAN UP and build up other peoples confidence and not just his own. Keep quiet and let his skills and add some SUPPORT T.O.
Answer 18 :
The only way it'll work is if someone sows his mouth shut so he cant ever talk, and put super glue on his hands so he wont drop the easiest of passes.
Answer 19 :
Unfortunately, TO is a cancer, and cancer spreads. It will start when he begins to second guess the Offensive Coordinator, and starts spewing off, and then starts yelling at the QB because he is always "open!". It's always the same with this guy. It will work for about 6 weeks and then it will all go to hell...in my opinion.
Answer 20 :
Yes I think it will work.......
Answer 21 :
T.O. experiments never work, San Fransisco tried and failed, Philly tried and failed, Dallas tried and failed, it may just be me, but i'm seeing a pattern here. He's a one man show and when he doesnt get what he wants he ruins football teams. The Bills are lucky they only signed him to a one year deal
Answer 1 :
no the bills will still suck just like they always have...

About Trying to use a Buffalo router as a repeater
Trying to use a Buffalo router as a repeater?
The "source" router that I'm trying to repeat is a DLink DIR 625 router. Can the Buffalo work in this capacity? I'm not even sure entirely how to do this. I think the interface Buffalo uses is non-intuitive, and the docs inlcluded are scanty. Any additional ideas? Anything on the DLink end that I have to do?

Well maybe. Are you using WDS or some other method. Sometimes WDS will only work with matching units since it really isn't a defined standard. In either event you will need to manually set both units to the same channel and enter the MAC addresses into the opposite routers allowed table for them to work. ADDITIONAL Info Open the DLINK go to wireless settings and look for WDS put the BUFFALO's MAC address in the box provided for WDS links. Open the Buffalo go to the wireless settings. They probably have a check box that once enabled will allow you to use WDS. Put the DLINK's MAC address into the box for WDS links. Be sure to set both of them to the same channel. Then restart them both! If it all works like it supposed to they will link and the buffalo will be repeating the dlink.. you should also be able to use the ethernet ports on the buffalo. If you need additional information use buffalos website they have good support even if they have poor docs. http://buffalotech.com you can also call them for tech support they are helpful, or at least have been with me. The other way to do this is run a cable from a Lan port of the Dlink to the WAN port of the buffalo. You need to disable the buffalo's dhcp function if you want all computers to be on the same network and allow your Dlink to assign all addresses. Or you can set the buffalo up on an entirely different network just use a different set of IP's if dlink is 192.168.0.x range then the buffalos dhcp ranges should be set to 192.168.1.x range etc

Maintaining Permanent Residence You may lose your permanent residence status if you commit an act that makes you removable from the United States under the law in section 237 of the Immigration and Nationality Act. If you commit such an act, you may be brought before the immigration courts to determine your right to remain a Permanent Resident. You may be found to have abandoned your permanent resident status if you: - - - Move to another country intending to live there permanently. - - - Remain outside of the US for more than one year without obtaining a reentry permit or returning resident visa. However in determining whether your status has been abandoned any length of absence from the US may be considered, even if it is less than one year. - - - Remain outside of the US for more than two years after issuance of a reentry permit without obtaining a returning resident visa. However in determining whether your status has been abandoned any length of absence from the US may be considered, even if it is less than one year. - - - Fail to file income tax returns while living outside of the US for any period. - - - Declare yourself a “nonimmigrant†on your tax returns. It would also subject you to being taxed under Canadian tax law, since most of your time would be spent on that side of the border (16 hours out of 24 equates to more than 182 days per year ... and no, it doesn't matter if you actually work 10 and travel 2 each way, you'll still be listed as single-shift employment, which means an 8 hour day). Since your primary residence would be in Canada, you would have voided the requirements for maintaining your status
